Access Bank (Ghana) Plc welcomed a special guest, Kwadzo, a young partially blind orphan from the Volta Region, whose story of gratitude has touched the hearts of many.
Kwadzo and his family paid a courtesy visit to the bank on his way to Akropong School for the Blind, offering yet another heartfelt prayer that deeply moved the team at Access Bank Ghana.
Kwadzo was first discovered during Access Bank Ghana’s ongoing charity project, ‘A Sandal More for a Better Tomorrow,’ which aims to provide comfortable footwear made from upcycled car tyres to underprivileged schoolchildren across the country.
During a recent stop at Weta Basic School in the Volta Region, the team met Kwadzo, who was not a student but had found his way there and received a pair of sandals from the Access Bank team.
In return, he offered a simple, yet powerful prayer of gratitude for the donation.
That moment, recorded and shared widely on social media, attracted national attention and opened doors of opportunity for the young boy.
That heartfelt prayer inspired Ghanaians both home and abroad to support the boy in cash and kind. In response, Access Bank Ghana opened an account for Kwadzo and deposited GHS20,000 to secure his future.
Moved by his story, other individuals also made contributions.
This generous support, combined with the sponsorship from a generous Ghanaian donor living in the United States has enabled Kwadzo to enroll at Akropong School for the Blind.
?During his visit to Access Bank Ghana, Kwadzo shared another heartfelt prayer with the team and the Managing Director, expressing his gratitude for the support he has received. Olumide Olatunji, Managing Director of Access Bank Ghana visibly moved, stated:
“Kwadzo’s story is a powerful reminder of the impact of small acts of kindness on someone’s life. His gratitude, his resilience, and his unwavering spirit have inspired us all. At Access Bank, we are committed to going beyond financial services, we are here to change lives, build futures, and uplift communities. Seeing Kwadzo smile today, knowing how far he has come, reinforces our belief that every life touched is a bright future. This is why we do what we do to make a lasting difference, one life at a time.”
Kwadzo’s journey, supported by ‘A Sandal More’ project and countless individuals, is a reminder that every act of kindness has the potential to transform lives.
As ‘A Sandal More for a Better Tomorrow’ program continues, Access Bank Ghana remains dedicated to reaching more communities, ensuring that more children have access to the opportunities they deserve.
