The Managing Director of Vivo Energy Ghana, Mr Jean-Michel Arlandis, has inspired women to confidently embrace their potential and make the best of opportunities available to them in their field of work.
When faced with challenges, he said, they should “dig into their innate strength and explore all available opportunities to overcome and learn lessons from the experience for the future.”
Speaking at the company’s inaugural ShePower training session in Accra, targeted at female employees of the company, Mr Arlandis gave the assurance that Vivo Energy Ghana would support female workers to thrive in the industry.
Held on the theme: ‘The Power of Positive Self Talk: Cultivating Confidence and Resilience,’ the training aimed at helping Vivo Energy Ghana to foster a supportive and inclusive workplace.
A statement issued by the company’s Corporate Communications Manager, Shirley Tony Kum, indicated that the event was is in line with the company’s commitment to empowering female employees, and provide them with the tools and confidence needed to excel in their careers and personal lives.
“This initiative is more than just a training programme. As a company committed to the promotion of female diversity and inclusion, we will continue to provide support and create an enabling environment for women to take charge of their own growth and drive positive change within our organisation and beyond,” Mr Arlandis said.
Mrs Rita Krampah, a corporate trainer, emphasised the importance of developing self-confidence through positive self-talk.
She shared various affirmative phrases and initiatives that could inspire individuals, ultimately fostering steady growth in boosting their confidence and abilities.
Drawing from her personal experiences with positive self-talk, Mrs Krampah stated that, “My crucible transformed me. It will transform you if you leverage the opportunities it presents to build confidence in yourself. Don’t personalise negative perceptions.”
To foster individual involvement, the session included a group discussion where employees were actively engaged in exploring and practicing positive self-talk techniques. This segment allowed participants to share their experiences, learn from one another and strengthen the day’s lessons.
