This award was in acknowledgement of AT’s pioneering the introduction of Embedded SIM (eSIM) in Ghana. The technology allows customers with eSIM-enabled devices to activate a cellular plan without having to use a physical SIM card. Customers can conveniently and efficiently connect multiple numbers to one device with the eSIM service and reduce the cost of purchasing extra devices for different SIMs.

Commenting on the award, Alex Offei-Lartey, Head of Digital and New Product Development, shared the company’s excitement for being recognised as the first-to-market eSIM in Ghana. “We constantly progress alongside our customers and provide innovative products and services that are relevant to them in a timely manner.
