The Programme Coordinator for the International Development Fund in Ghana, Jelili Jerry Afolabi, has urged Ghanaian entrepreneurs to explore international opportunities in development finance under the International Development Fund.
Addressing participants during the first IDF funding seminar organized by WABS Consult in Accra, Mr. Afolabi said the IDF provides collateral-free financial resources for the execution of viable projects aimed at creating sustainable jobs and solving development challenges across the globe.
He said the loans available range from 1 million USD to 1 billion USD, and are earmarked for projects in healthcare, energy, housing, mining, and agriculture.
Mr. Afolabi added that IDF fund managers are particularly interested in the job-creation matrix of specific projects and how they can solve unemployment in host communities.
The President of WABS Consult, Issah Sulemana, in an interview with Citi Business News said his organisation is committed to helping as many Ghanaian project owners as possible to access and secure the money they need to fund their dream projects.
As local facilitators, he said WABS will help conduct assessments of individual projects and guide owners to fulfill the requirements needed to secure funds to commence work.
