The rationale behind this innovative move is to create a range of payment options for customers, in order for them to have an easier and more improved customer service experience. These payment options include a mobile money platform using a short code, point of sales terminals at the company’s various customer service centers and premium payment using alternative channels like Slydepay, ExpressPay and InterPay.
Sharing his thoughts about this new development, the Senior Manager, Technical and Life Administration, Mr. Bernard Ewusie Mensah surmised that many life insurance companies in the world are now conscious of the need for a fresh thinking and are developing new strategies to meet customer’s needs.
“Customer convenience is crucial in the enhancement of customer experience. Mobile payments are a hot discussion in the insurance industry and a top priority for every financial institution. It is an opportunity for the insurance industry and many insurers who struggle to collect premiums and also struggle to reach a large population of the unbanked customers.”
He concluded by saying that policyholders of Enterprise Life can now sit in the comfort of their homes and offices, avoid traffic, long queues and swiftly pay their premiums using our Short code *714*555#, Slydepay, ExpressPay and Interpay. Customers can also access these payment platforms online as well as their mobile apps.
Modalities
Mobile Money
Enterprise Life policyholders can now pay Premiums using the USSD SHORTCODE *714*555#.
The USSD system on their phones will ask for the policy type and also confirm the policy number.
The system will then display the clients name and outstanding premiums. The client will then receive a prompt to enter their Mobile Money Pin (MMI). Premiums will deducted from the clients mobile wallet and credited to Enterprise Life.
Customers can use any phone not necessary the phone number registered in the company system. The number must be registered with mobile money to enable clients to make payments.
POS Of Sale Devices
Visa and Mastercard enabled Point of sales (POS) device have been installed at the Tema Office, Enterprise Market (High Street), Adabraka Branch, NIA Branch, Takoradi and Kumasi Branch for payment of outstanding premiums.
The VISA mobile machines will also be used in collecting premiums at the customer service outlets. This is also an opportunity to for clients to pay premiums at their own will.
Other Alternative Payments
Enterprise Life has also partnered with Stanbic Bank and DreamOval Ltd, creators of Slydepay, to allow for payment of premiums using Slydepay. The company has also partnered with other giants in the Financial Technology industry like ExpressPay and Interpay. These partnerships serve as an advantage for policyholders of Enterprise Life as it offers convenience, speed and security in paying premiums.
Enterprise Life recently introduced life changing products such as the Enterprise Living Plus Plan and the Executive Plus Plan, both products targeted towards its high end clientele offering limitless cover options for prospective customers.
In addition the company also out doored an innovative and visa enabled card, the Advantage Card, an industry first, which aids policy holders to access their claim benefits and enjoy loyalty discounts at some selected outlets.
