The Management of Amansie West Rural Bank, in the Ashanti Region, has presented a cheque of 10 million cedis to the Amansie West District Health Insurance Scheme as the Bank's contribution to the scheme.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank, Captain Moses Kyeremateng (RTD) who presented the cheque said the financial institution attaches importance to the scheme.
Nana Opiah Mensah, Chairman of the District Board of the scheme, thanked the management of the Bank for the contribution.
Mr Ben Kwakye-Adeefe, the District Chief Executive, appealed to other financial institutions and public spirited organisations to support the scheme.
Mr Oscar Asare Andoh, the District National Health Insurance Scheme Manager, said the programme would take off.
