The facility is to manufacture a multiplicity of high quality processed glass to serve the real estate industry and all other industries in Ghana and sub-Saharan Africa.

This now positions the company on a path to expand its channels to market and upgrade the full range of glass processing to improve customer satisfaction, drive growth and boost productivity. The product range includes mirrored glass, double glazing, laminated glass, tempered and patterned glass.

The Managing Director of Sofaamy Company Limited, Mr. Kofi Somuah, disclosed this to the Daily Graphic in an interview shortly after the inauguration of the facility.

He said the company had technical capacity to provide processed glass such as tempered, lamination, double glazing and sandblasting.

He noted that the plant was a necessary step to the operational advancement of the company, adding that “it is also as a response to the growing demand for high excellence and superior glass that will both beautify and secure the works of architectural designs in the country and the sub-Saharan region”.

Acknowledgement

Earlier in his address, Mr. Somuah acknowledged the support and dedication of the company’s employees, as well as what he described as “the tremendous sustenance the company’s bankers have rendered over the years”.

He said the company would provide additional skills training for employees to upgrade their knowledge and skills to deliver the best for the company’s customers.
“The company is motivated to continuously offer excellent support and innovative services to its valued clients in order to continue fostering a good business relationship,” he added.
He said Sofaamy was established and registered in 1995 under the company’s Act of the
Republic of Ghana.

According to him, through hard work, the company had been able to open a number of branches to bring services closer to its valued clients to meet their demands in a timely manner.

Employees advised

The General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Pastor Mensah Otabil, challenged employees of the company to seize the opportunity to be more productive and responsible in the discharge of their duties.

He also used the occasion to admonish them to stretch beyond their current capabilities to deliver satisfactory services that met the expectations of customers at all times.
