The Adansi Rural Bank Limited has donated a number of items costing over GH¢10,000.00 in support of this year’s ‘Farmers’ Day’ celebration in the Adansi North District. These included 40 knapsack spraying machines, tricycle, 50 boxes of cutlasses and 50 pairs of wellington boots.
They would be distributed to hardworking farmers in the predominantly farming area at a ceremony to recognize them on November 04. Alhaji Ahmed Kwame Boakye, the Board Chairman, handing over the items to the district assembly in Fomena, said it was part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility.
He announced that similar donation would be made to four other districts – Obuasi, Bosomtwe, Adansi South and Atwima-Kwanwoma. He spoke of its determination of give strong backing to efforts at growing the nation’s agriculture by way of credit, technical assistance and the supply of needed logistics.
Mr. Stephen Awuku Nenegbe, the Adansi-North District Chief Executive (DCE), who received the items and applauded the bank for the gesture. He invited other corporate institutions and individuals to “come on board” to reward and honor the Ghanaian farmer for their priceless contribution to the economy.
