Bill Ford, executive chairman of U.S. automaker Ford Motor Co., said the next chief executive would likely come from the ranks of the company.
Ford said the company had an obligation to look "everywhere," but, "I really like our talent and would be surprised if we didn't pick someone from inside," the Detroit Free Press reported Saturday.
Ford CEO Alan Mulally, 66, came to Ford from Boeing and is not expected to retire soon.
The executive chairman said Mulally at Ford was "having fun and really loving this."
