The Managing Director of Barclays Ghana, Mr Benjamin Dabrah, has assured customers and potential customers of the bank that Barclays will continue its "Double Your Salo" promotion next year.
The promotion, which started in April this year, rewards salaried workers who channel their salaries through the bank. It was expected to have ended in December 2010.
Speaking at the 5th draw of the promotion at the Bolgatanga branch of the bank last Friday, Mr Darah urged salaried workers, who have not entered the promotion, to do so.
A statement issued by the bank in Accra to the Ghana News Agency quoted the Barclays boss: "unlike other promotions on the market that require customers to sacrifice part of their income, in order to qualify to participate, the "Double Your Salo" promotion does not require any monetary sacrifices. One needs to be a salaried worker who channels his or her salary through Barclays."
Ten customers at various branches of the bank across the country doubled their salaries at the end of the draw.
The lucky customers, who had their salaries doubled, were full of joy when they were called immediately after the draw on phone and informed of the fortune.
Mr Dabrah congratulated the lucky winners and assured other customers whose salaries passes through the Bank that their turn would surely come. He urged members of the public to bank with Barclays so that their loyalty would be rewarded.
