The HFC Bank Ghana has presented anti-malaria drugs to the Agona Swedru flood victims.
Speaking at the function Mr Charles A. Martinson, General Manager Banking Operations of the bank, said many institutions, corporate bodies and individuals had donated food and other
items to the victims but the bank chose to donate drugs to cater for the health need of the victims.
Mr Matthew Quayeson, Agona West Municipal Coordinating Director and Mrs Sophia Blankson, Principal Nursing Officer of the Agona Swedru Government Hospital, received the drugs on behalf of the victims.
Mr Quayeson said the assembly was in the process of acquiring 50 acres of land from the chiefs of Agona Swedru for resettlement of the displaced persons.
He said soon the designs and other documents on the land would be completed and handed over to the victims to start their houses.
Mr Quayeson appealed to the HFC Bank to help the assembly put up house for the victims to enable them move from Swedru Town Hall and other camps.
