Following the government's decision on Huawei, should mobile phone users be concerned the Chinese government is eavesdropping on their conversations?
"There is no smoking gun, there is no evidence that has happened before in countries where Huawei provides the 5G network," says the Royal United Services Institute's Elisabeth Braw.
"I think the larger concern is the security of the network. China is a competitor of the UK and Hauwei is a Chinese company - is Hauwei really interested in keeping the UK as safe as possible, as secure as possible? Or are they just interested in providing the cheapest service and getting money for it," she asks.
"At best I think it is a questionable ally and at worst it can give the Chinese government advantages or access that they shouldn't have."
