Azumi-Mobile, a fast-growing global manufacturer of smartphones, has introduced two entry smartphones, the Kirei A45D and the Kirei A5D, both based on the MediaTek MT6570 platform, to the sub-Saharan Africa market. Azumi is targeting the following African countries for growth: South Africa, Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe, IT-Online reported.
Tayshira Santamaria, head of Africa at Azumi-Mobile said the company will work closely with MediaTek to create products that deliver premium features such as larger screens, 3G/4G and great processing power, but that will still be affordable in the lower and middle tiers of the market. The MT6570 system-on-chip is a highly integrated 2-chip solution producing MediaTek’s most cost effective 3G smartphone chipset platform. The MT6570 has an optimised version of Android M which provides a durable user experience that allows mobile applications to keep performing smoothly even after extended use.
The MT6570 offers low power consumption, the tight integration of components and a dual-core CPU based on Cortex A7.
