Encode Ring, a company established last month, is using its 3D-printing know-how to make one-of-a-kind jewellery. Each of the rings are the audio level visualisations of 3-second voice messages.

Those interested can visit the company website, where you'll record a 3 second message through the site (as long as you have a mic connected) or drop a prerecorded sound file. From there, the audio is uploaded, you choose the ring size and metal of your choice, and the company does the rest.

The rings come in many variants: steel, gold-plated, premium silver, 18K gold and solid platinum. Prices range from ¥12,960 (US$120, AU$160, £100) for steel to ¥129,600 (US$1,240, AU$1,600, £1,020) for platinum.

While the typical messages of "I love you" and "yours forever" might be expected, you can fit almost any message you'd like as long as it's within the 3 second limit.

The company is looking to adapt the same kind of printing technology to other types of product, like recording audio from live concerts to immortalise performances.
