Alhaji Gado Sulemana, a leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called for tenacity of purpose and understanding among members of the party at all levels.
He said it was important they worked together as a team to support the government in its effort at addressing the socio-economic development challenges of the country.
Speaking to the GNA in an interview in Kumasi on Thursday, Alhaji Gado said, it was time members re-examined themselves to see how best they could help the party to deliver on its election campaign promises.
He urged the Government to focus more on the construction and tarring of roads leading to farming areas.
This, he said, would ensure easy transportation of farm produce to urban centres for both local consumption and export.
He advised those appointed to foreign missions to "move out of the comfort zone" and rather work hard to bring in more foreign investors to propel the economy to greater heights.
Alhaji Gado urged the diplomats to always put the nation before their personal interests and ensure the welfare of all Ghanaians abroad without any discrimination.
