Kuwaiti Amir Sheikh Sabah Al- Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has instructed the government to bring the Iraqis injured in last Wednesday's explosions in Baghdad to Kuwait for treatment, a government official said Wednesday.
"His Highness the Amir has ordered provision of all medical facilities and medical care for the injured Iraqis until their recovery," Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Roudhan Al- Roudhan was quoted as saying by the KUNA News Agency.
He said the initiative was among Kuwait's contributions to alleviating the suffering of the Iraqi people following last Wednesday's bombings in Baghdad, which killed and wounded more than 1,300 people.
Two truck bombs struck Iraqi foreign and finance ministries in Baghdad last Wednesday which also shattered more than 150 civilian cars, shaping a setback to Iraq's efforts to restore normalcy in the capital 50 days after the U.S. troops pullout of Iraqi cities and towns.
