The Parliament of the Republic of Serbia has passed a law that allows its immigration officers to issue single entry visas valid for 15 days to foreigners.
A statement signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Alhaji Muhammed Mumuni, on Wednesday said under the law, foreign citizens may no longer obtain entry visa at the border effective April 1, 2009.
The statement said as of 1st of April 2009, the immigration officers were authorized to issue single entry visa valid for 15 days only in exceptional situations where foreigners travelling to Serbia did not get an opportunity to apply for a visa at the Serbian mission abroad or to submit documentation on the urgency of the trip and on humanitarian grounds.
