Members of Ho Municipal Assembly on Thursday overwhelmingly approved Mr Isaac Kwasi Kodobisah 42, as Municipal Chief Executive.
Mr Kodobisah, a teacher and assembly member for Klave-Hoe polled 53 out of the 55 votes cast with a vote against and another rejected.
He said he understood problems of the assembly, the members and was poised to tackle them.
Mr Kodobisah pledged to pursue justice in the alleged embezzlement of the assembly's internally generated revenue.
Mr Joseph Amenowode, Volta Regional Minister said there was no room to pursue one's "own show" since programmes for development would be co-ordinated to achieve set targets.
He urged assembly members to be alert and ensure the judicial use of funds made available to the assembly.
Mr Amenowode said they should speak out on issues pertaining to the judicious use of funds to justify their membership as representatives of the people.
He pointed out that the assemblies were established to generate wealth for people in their areas and therefore urged the members to give due consideration to entrepreneurs.
"It is better to give financial support to 'a tie and dye producer' who operates for the benefit of society than to a party functionary who would not put the money to productive use, "he added.
