The visiting Indian Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday expressed New Delhi's firm determination in war on terror.
"We reaffirm our strong commitment and retreat that all countries should comply with their multilateral and international obligation to fight terrorist activities," he told newsmen at a joint press conference here with his Afghan counterpart Rangin Dadfar Spanta.
The Indian top diplomat whose country witnessed a devastating terrorist attack in Mumbai city last November stated that "we are part of the global war against terrorism."
The minister said that India and Afghanistan had discussed the solution "to strengthen our intelligence mechanism and to share information and intelligence and to act on it."
Expressing satisfaction over his visit to Afghanistan and talks with Afghan leaders, Pranab Mukherjee emphasized that India would continue to support the reconstruction process of Afghanistan.
Earlier in the day, the Indian top diplomat handed over the 240km Dularam-Zaranj road built with a cost of 150 million dollars provided by Indian Government.
He also added that the construction of new house for Afghan Parliament had begun and would be completed within the stipulated time.
As a major contributor in the rebuilding of the war-ravaged Afghanistan, India has contributed 1.250 billion dollars since the collapse of Taliban regime seven years ago.
Afghan Foreign Minister for his part thanked India for its support to Afghanistan stressing that Kabul backs new Delhi's demand for the arrest and punishment of those behind terrorist attack against Indian nation.
