The Campaign for Effective Leadership, a support group of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has promised providing an extensive campaign at the grassroots to galvanize more votes for the party for an overwhelming victory in the December polls.
Miss Frances Awurabena Esiam, National Convener of the group, said at a rally of the party at Baakoniaba in Sunyani at the weekend that, they aim to galvanise support for Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo, Presidential candidate of NPP.
Ms Esiam said the sound and pragmatic messages of Nana Akuffo-Addo would benefit the youth and advised them to vote massively for the NPP candidate for accelerated national development.
Ms Esiam, a former stalwart of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), noted that voting the NPP out of power in the December elections would derail the gains so far chalked by the Kufuor administration.
The National Convener mentioned the National Health Insurance Scheme, the Capitation grant, School Feeding Programme, access to micro credits, the provision of educational, health, road, industrial and agricultural infrastructure as some of the sound and laudable achievements of the government.
Ms Esiam implored political parties to conduct their electioneering campaigns in a respectable manner, devoid of insults and negative tendencies, which could trigger violence.
Mr Isaac Adjei, Deputy Northern sector convener, appealed to disgruntled members of the party not to allow themselves to be swayed by the false propaganda being peddled by the NDC against the NPP, but to remain resolute and loyal to the party.
