Former Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Ibrahim Saanie Daara, has delivered a very stinging response to Sports and Recreation Minister Kofi Adams over the release of the budget for Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team.
Sannie Daara criticized the timing of the release of the budget ahead of Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Chad on Thursday, September 4. Ghana drew 1-1 against Chad.
The aftermath of the budget release led to a consensus condemnation of the high expenditure on the team particularly on non-playing members of the team in previous years and the veteran sorts personality slammed the Sports Minister.
“Which military in the history of mankind has been so foolish to announce reduction of the salaries of soldiers before a war? The timing of the Black Stars budget was completely needless!”

“The Sports Minister Kofi Adams needs to shut it. He should let the boys focus on the World Cup qualifiers” Saanie Daara said to Sporty FM.
