The Playoff round of the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League concludes on Tuesday 18 and Wednesday 19 February, with Europe’s premier club competition set to bid goodbye to eight clubs.

The biggest name looking down the barrel of elimination is 2022-23 winners Manchester City, who have the tall order of trying to overturn a 2-3 deficit away to reigning champions Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Wednesday night.
“We had a great opportunity to maybe go to the Bernabeu 2-1 up, and we've come away now needing a goal to get level when we go there. It's not done; we have to stay positive, which is difficult right now,” admitted Man City defender John Stones.
He added, “What happened is avoidable and we've got to do better. It's as simple as that. We have to keep a positive mentality and look forward. We've got another 90 minutes to go and put this right.”
Wednesday also features PSV Eindhoven looking to make a comeback from 1-2 down at home to Juventus, while Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund have one foot in the Last 16 thanks to their 3-0 advantages ahead of hosting Brest and Sporting CP respectively.
Tuesday night’s action features Italian sides Atalanta and AC Milan looking to overturn one-goal deficits at home to Club Brugge (1-2) and Feyenoord (0-1) respectively, Benfica will back themselves to add to a 1-0 lead at home to Monaco in Lisbon, and Bayern Munich have a 2-1 lead over Celtic for their second leg at the Allianz Arena – though the Scottish side put in a rousing attempt at a comeback in Glasgow and will look to carry that momentum to Bavaria.
“At 2-1, Bayern are hanging on,” said Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers. “That's what we can take from it. We've got one more shot. It's a new level for a lot of the players. Let's go and have no regrets and see where it takes us.
“We've shown we can play football and be a threat. We're still right in the tie. With their quality and the number of goals they can score, sometimes these can be out of sight but that wasn't the case at all.”
The eight aggregate winners will advance into the round of 16 to face the top eight finishers from the League Phase: Arsenal, Aston Villa, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Bayer Leverkusen, Lille and Liverpool.
