Ghana’s Black Queens have been drawn in Group C for the upcoming 2025 Women’s AFCON that is scheduled to be held in Morocco from July 5 to July 26.
The draw was headlined by CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe and high profile African women’s football personalities like 2022 Champions Andile Dlamini and former Moroccan international Fatiha Laassiri
The Black Queens missed out on competing in the 2022 edition and crashed out at the group stage of the 2018 that was held in Ghana.
After sealing progression to next year’s tournament, Ghana will play against Mali, Tanzania and reigning champions South Africa.
The top two ranked nations in each group progress automatically to the next round with the best two third placed teams also progressing to the quarterfinals.

All four nations in Group B except Algeria, Tunisia, Nigeria and Botswana, competed at the 2022 edition with the trio progressing to the quarterfinals.
Nigeria are the record winners of the competitions having won the title on 11 occasions but have missed out on winning the past two editions.
