Issahaku picked up the injury while on duty with Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team during the last international break of 2024.
The former Sporting Lisbon player played in Ghana’s 1-1 draw with Angola in Luanda in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers but was substituted at half time due to a knee issue that bothered him throughout the second phase of the first half.
Issahaku posted a picture of himself on a hospital bed after the surgery on his Instagram page and stated that he was feeling good after the procedure.
“All glory be to Almighty Allah. My surgery was successful and I just want to tell everyone that I am okay and I am feeling good after the surgery. I want to thank everyone for your best wishes” he wrote on his Instagram page.
