Who will claim the ultimate prizes at Crown Jewel?
The WWE will begin a new tradition at the 2024 edition of the Crown Jewel, a Premium Live Event which will be held at the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on the evening of Saturday 2 November.
DStv is the only place to see all your favourites from the WWE Universe!
This, the sixth Crown Jewel, will be based around two epic Champion v Champion clashes, as Cody Rhodes (the Undisputed WWE Champion) faces Gunther (the World Heavyweight Champion), and Nia Jax (the WWE Women’s Champion) takes on Liv Morgan (the Women’s World Champion) for the right to win the inaugural WWE Crown Jewel Championship and WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Championship.
Think of it as a ‘best of the best’ clash between representatives of the Raw and SmackDown brands, with a 50-karat ceremonial belt up for grabs for each winner.
“A lot of people have said that Gunther might be the best in the business right now,” admitted Rhodes. “But I have overcome some great rivals to win and keep this belt [Undisputed WWE Championship] and adding the Crown Jewel Championship would be the cherry on top for me.”
Nia Jax, meanwhile, has dismissed the challenge offered by Morgan: “I am the WWE Women’s Champion, the Queen of the Ring... and soon I will be the Women’s Crown Jewel Champion. The perfect trifecta. Liv Morgan? She’s just the bug I have to squash on my way to glory.”
The match card also features a Triple Threat Match for the WWE United States Championship, in which LA Knight will put his title on the line against Andrade and Carmelo Hayes – two combatants who have come through a gruelling seven-match series against one another.
Seth Rollins faces Bronson Reed, Kevin Owens will look to take out his sense of frustration against Randy Orton, and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship will be fought for in a Fatal Four Way Match between Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair; Damage CTRL; Meta-Four; and Chelsea Green & Piper Niven.
