A horde of expectant Phobian fans who painted the Tuba Astro Turf with their rainbow colours left with mixed feelings after Hearts of Oak shared the spoils with Dreams FC with a scoreless stalemate in a gruelling seventh week Premier League clash yesterday.

The barren draw was a true reflection of the uncompromising battle of two equal halves witnessed by Black Galaxies coach, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, and other dignitaries.

Coach Karim Zito's men dominated the first half but lacked the cutting edge upfront to cause any havoc to their opponents as dangerman Joseph Esso lacked the needed support from his teammates most of the time.

But on the few occasions that he was let loose by midfielder, Rocky Dwamena, Esso's threat was dealt with by Hearts’ goalkeeper Benjamin Asare.

Strong comeback

However, Hearts were a completely transformed side after recess as they seized the midfield with the introduction of towering Salim Adams and Asamoah Boateng in the 65th minute.

As the Phobians fought for the opener, new sensation, Mohammed Sani, took centre stage and attacked the Dreams FC defence in droves but lacked support as striker Kwabena Boateng messed up his beautiful set-up after 57 minutes to the disappointment of Hearts fans.

As the visitors maintained their dominance, Adams broke the hearts of their fans again by fluffing Asamoah Boateng cross from close range in the 73rd minute.

Let off the hook, skipper Esso and his forces returned the fire in rapid succession in search of their first home win, but Hearts' defensive trio of Kelvin Osei Assibey, Samuel Amofa and Amankwaa Baafi remained resolute, leading to Assibey's temporary injury in the 86th minute.

Just before referee, Maxwell Hanson, could blow the final whistle, the hearts of many a Hearts fan missed a beat when centre forward, Hamza Aziz, blew a great chance that could have made the 'journey to the west' much more memorable.
