The first live action on ESPN arrives on the evening of Friday 18 October, when Sheffield United head to Elland Road for an EFL Championship clash against Leeds United (21:00 LIVE on ESPN). The Championship continues on Saturday 19 October with Luton Town v Watford and Blackburn Rovers v Swansea City (13:30 and 16:00 LIVE on ESPN).
Rovers manager John Eustace has called on his team to improve their attacking play when faced with defensive-minded opponents: "We were missing that quality in the final third. We have to find better solutions and better answers to break teams down when they're like that. There is lots to work on from that side and we're disappointed not to make the advantage count. It is something that we have to work on. We have to be better at that and we will throughout the season.”
The focus them switches to the Eredivisie, with AZ Alkmaar hosting champions PSV Eindhoven before Feyenoord visit Go Ahead Eagles (18:45 and 21:00 LIVE on ESPN), before the morning of Sunday 20 October brings a double-header from the MLS, with Orlando City and Houston Dynamo playing host to Atlanta United and LA Galaxy respectively (00:00 and 03:00 LIVE on ESPN).
Sunday afternoon offers up a clash from the Scottish Premiership, as Kilmarnock welcome Rangers (13:00 LIVE on ESPN), before Hull City tackle Sunderland in another EFL Championship battle (16:00 LIVE on ESPN). The second-tier English 'footy' continues on Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 October with Coventry City visiting Queens Park Rangers and Middlesbrough hosting Sheffield United respectively (both 21:00 LIVE on ESPN).

Ravens coach John Harbaugh says his focus is always on the next game, rather than a bigger picture: "We consider every game a must-win, but if you don’t win a game, your season is not over. There’s a lot of football to be played. We’re trying to get a win every week. We’re trying to be 1-0. Last week doesn’t matter, the next week doesn’t matter, it’s this week that we’re focused on."
