Head coach of Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team, the Black Stars, Otto Addo, has described Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku’s stinging speech directed at Black Stars as “good”.
He said this in a pre-game presser ahead of Ghana’s big games against Sudan with the first of two games set to be played on Thursday, October 10 at 16:00 GMT.
In a video that has gone viral, the GFA President was captured delivering a hair dryer treatment to the Black Stars after the team’s underwhelming performances against Angola and Niger in previous 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
Speaking on the issue, Otto Addo indicated that the GFA President has consistently delivered such speeches but this was the first captured on camera.
“This is the first time it was recorded. The same thing (President speaking to the players in a passionate way) happened before Mali (game) sometimes it’s good and we understand the situation is very very crucial and so sometimes it’s also good when somebody comes and steps up to back my words.”

“We always like to push each other and believe it was a good talk and hopefully it woke everyone up to show the passion which is needed on the pitch to win this game.”
