The Greater Accra Regional Football Association (GARFA) has officially announced Ashlid as the provider of the official match balls for the upcoming 2024/2025 football season.
The collaboration marks a renewed partnership with Ashlid Enterprise, one of Ghana's leading sports equipment suppliers, following their successful partnership during the 2021/2022 GARFA Division Two Middle League.
At a lively launch event held at the Accra Sports Stadium's GHALCA Conference Hall today, the GARFA confirmed that all affiliated clubs will receive match-ready footballs. Each team will be provided with three footballs for training and an additional three for matchday use, ensuring the supply of 1,800 Ashlid Balls throughout the season.
The new Ashlid Orbita balls, designed with an 8-panel structure, are crafted to enhance player control and performance, even in adverse weather conditions. The design features a sleek white surface with bold red accents, proudly reflecting GARFA's colors. Additionally, special editions of the balls will be introduced for the GARFA Women's League and Middle League.
The GARFA Chairman, Samuel Aboabire expressed gratitude towards Ashlid Enterprise’s CEO, Fredrick Aglago Atsu, for his ongoing support.
"Today, we celebrate not just a partnership, but a commitment to excellence for the next three years," Aboabire stated. He also detailed the delivery schedule: 500 footballs in the first year, followed by 600 and 700 balls in the subsequent years.
The new season promises to be an exciting one, with Ashlid balls to be used across 40 thrilling matches in Greater Accra, cementing the collaboration as a pivotal part of Ghanaian football.
