Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo has joined an elite group of players, becoming one of only four stars in the English Premier League (EPL) to have either scored or assisted in all three league matches this season.
The AFC Bournemouth striker, who is enjoying a sensational start to the 2024-2025 campaign, has been pivotal to his team's early success.
Semenyo’s contributions include two goals and an assist in Bournemouth's opening fixtures. He netted the crucial equalizer in the 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest on the opening day.
He then followed that up by assisting a goal in a 1-1 stalemate at home against Newcastle United. His most remarkable moment came during Bournemouth’s thrilling 3-2 comeback win against Everton, where his goal in the 85th minute sparked a late rally that secured a vital victory for The Cherries.
This impressive form has placed Semenyo in rare company, alongside top EPL stars namely; Bukayo Saka, Mohamed Salah, and Erling Haaland, all of whom have either scored or assisted in every league game so far this season.
In recognition of his outstanding performances, the 25-year-old has been named AFC Bournemouth’s Player of the Month for August.
As the season progresses, Semenyo’s remarkable consistency will be crucial for Bournemouth as they aim to build momentum after the international break, during which he also represented Ghana in their disappointing AFCON 2025 qualifiers against Angola and Niger.
Semenyo’s hot streak not only cements his place as a rising star in the EPL but also serves as a boost for the Black Stars as they look ahead to future competitions.
