Ghana Black Stars head coach Otto Addo believes that Inaki Williams’ general struggles in the Black Stars needs addressing from both entities; the Athletic Bilbao player and Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team.
He said this when answering a question about the Spanish born Williams’ struggles to score goals for the Black Stars while remaining productive with La Liga side Athletic Bilbao.
On the issue, Otto Addo believes both parties need to work more and better to get desired results; he said this ahead of Ghana’s 2025 AFCON qualifier against Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium on Thursday, September 5 at 16:00 GMT.
“They-the players-have to adapt also to him. We know what his strengths are; to run deep, to threaten the last line, the defenders, to go beyond that and we have to use his quality more. For me, it’s always both ways; surely he can also make his game more flexible but also I think we also have to put focus on how to put him in his best spot.”
