Portadown boss Niall Currie says that his side must now "build on the momentum" after they salvaged a 2-2 draw against Linfield on Friday night.
Ryan Mayse scored a superb equaliser five minutes into injury time to rescue a point for the Ports.
And Currie was delighted that his side were celebrating at full-time after they conceded a late winner against Glentoran a fortnight ago.
"We got a real big sickener against the Glens in the 90th minute a few weeks ago and I said to the players that day that football is about swings and roundabouts," he told BBC Sport NI.
"It shows the importance of staying in the game against the big boys, you can have a rattle if you stay in the game until the last five minutes."
Mayse's superb strike ensured Portadown's second point since their return to the Irish Premiership for this season, although they have already played three of last season's top five in their first four games.
After reaching double figures in both arrivals and departures over the summer, Currie knew it would take some time for his promoted side to gel.
"We knew how tough it was going to be," he added.
"Linfield are quality, but I thought all praise goes to the players. We're not there yet, we have a lot of new players and we are bedding everything in, but I thought they gave everything out there.
"We have a few decent players here. I'm excited by this squad, there have been a lot of changes but we need to build on the momentum."
