Former Board Member of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club, Frank Nelson Nwokolo, has stated that the club’s playing body needs to be strengthened after recording another disappointing season.
Hearts finished 14th in the 18 team league standings in the recently ended 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season after finishing 12th the season prior.
He said this in an exclusive interview with Channel One Sports where he reviewed the poor season that had the Phobia Club flirt with relegation and needed a 3-2 win over Bechem United on the final day of the league season to stay in the league.
“I believe that the team needs strengthening especially in the midfield and striking positions. I don’t think our striking position was something to write home about because if you count the number of chances the strikers missed-I play it as a collective situation- I think our striker’s situation is not good because we missed a lot of chances.”
