Leicester City can be thankful they have a "top" striker in Jamie Vardy to rely on after the talismanic veteran's match-winning double against Watford, says defender James Justin.
Ex-England forward Vardy, 36, came off the bench to score the goals that kept Leicester top of the Championship.
His 76th-minute opener came just moments after he volleyed a chance from six yards wastefully over the bar.
"We're grateful that Vards [Vardy] took care of it," Justin said.
Talking to BBC Radio Leicester about how Vardy shook off the close-range miss to go on and net a decisive double on Saturday, Justin said: "It's testament to him.
"He has missed hundreds of chances in his career, one chance isn't going to make or break him.
"He will always be the same in front of goal, that's one of the things that makes him the top."
Vardy's goals in the 2-0 win against Watford were his first in six appearances, and took his tally for the season to seven in 18 games.
It is one more goal than he had at the same stage when he helped Leicester earn promotion to the Premier League as Championship title winners 10 seasons ago.
He finished that campaign with 16 and would go on to be the Foxes forward who provided many of the strikes that defined a decade of unparalleled success for the club - which included winning the Premier League and FA Cup.
Leicester boss Enzo Maresca summed up Vardy's performance against Watford by saying he "always scores goals in his life and he will continue".
Victory over the Hornets came on Leicester's return to action after the international break, which followed back-to-back defeats for the second-tier high-flyers.
Justin said defeats by Leeds United and Middlesbrough earlier in November helped Leicester gain perspective after setting a number of records with their strong start to the season.
"When you are winning a lot of weeks, and we had loads in a row, it makes you take it for granted," he said.
"With the international break after the two losses it gave us time to reflect on what we are doing well and what we are not doing so well."
The win against Watford felt "like a start", Justin said.
"We played well, created a lot of chances and kept the other team to zero, which is our biggest job at the back," Justin added. "We are just glad to get the three points."
