Sai, 35, who is called ‘The Miracle’ in boxing circles, has fought 40 times professionally, with 36 wins, three defeats and a draw. He last fought and defeated compatriot Jedidah Doku at the Idrowhyt Event Centre at Dansoman in Accra in December last year.

“I want to fine-tune my body for a very important fight which is a title fight, and I believe the De-Luxy Boxing League will offer me the platform to do that,” he told Graphic Sports.

He revealed that he had been training vigorously with his trainer, Vincent Akai Nettey, at the Attoh Quarshie Gym to dust off any ring rust after seven months absence from the ring.

“Boxing is about always training and remaining active, fit and ready whenever you are called to fight. It is also about engaging in a lot of sparring and fighting any opponent that comes your way,” he explained.

Sai, who has lost just once since 2017, is bent on defending his world title and hopes to rise up in the world rankings to get a shot at the world title before he retires from the sport.

“In boxing, a world title is everything and the ultimate. I believe in myself, and I believe I can still win the world title. I have what it takes to have the world at my feet,” he stated.
