England striker Ebony Salmon will leave Bristol City following their relegation from the Women's Super League.
BBC Sport understands the 20-year-old - who has scored 18 goals in two seasons - is set to join Racing Louisville in the United States' NWSL.
Salmon scored 10 times this season as she helped the Robins reach the League Cup final, but could not save them from relegation after four years in the WSL.
Salmon made her England debut in the win over Northern Ireland in February.
Beard's departure confirmed
Meanwhile, City have confirmed that interim manager Matt Beard has left the club and has gone on to take the vacant manager's position at Championship side Liverpool.
The former West Ham manager, 43, took over City in January after Tanya Oxtoby went on maternity leave.
He led the club to both their WSL wins last season as well as the final of the League Cup, which they lost 6-0 to Chelsea.
"I would like to thank Matt for all the work he has done over the second half of the season," City's head of women's football Lee Billiard told the club website.
"To come in halfway through a campaign is tough and, in challenging circumstances with Covid, Matt did extremely well to take our fight for survival to the last day, but ultimately it was just one step too far."
