Ex-Inter Milan left-back, Kwadwo Asamoah, has completed his move to Italian Serie A side, Cagliari till the end of the season.
Asamoah who joined the Serie A giants in 2018 could not command a starting place in Antonio Conte’s team following a series of injuries.
He was, however, declared surplus to requirement by the club and at the end of last season the team parted ways with the players.
Although the 31-year-old Ghanaian player was linked with several European teams, he could not secure a deal with nay of them during the first transfer window of the season.
But with the second transfer window opened Cagliari decided to strengthen their side by capturing the Ghanaian left back.
The club firmed the signing of Asamoah through a message on their website that they had agreed to sign the player till the end of the season.
“Cagliari Calcio announces that it has acquired the sport performances of Kwadwo Asamoah: the player has signed a contract that binds him to the club until the end of the current season,” the club’s official website stated.
Cagliari are struggling in the Serie A and currently occupy 18th position with 15 points on the league table and believe the exploits of the Ghanaian could help them escape relegation.
