Ghana's Black Satellites on Saturday fought from a goal down to beat Burkina Faso 2-1 to win the 2020 WAFU Zone B competition at the Charles de Gaulle stadium in Porto-Novo, Benin.

As expected, the Young Stallions who boost of the best attacking machinery in the competition having already scored 8 goals in four matches including a 4-1 win over Cote d'Ivoire in the semi-finals, begun the game the stronger side.

It didn't take long for their resolute to be rewarded as Kouame Jean Fiacre Botue broke the deadlock in the 16th minute when he profited from an error by Ghana's defence to fire the ball past goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad.

But Ghana will draw parity just five minutes before the interval when skipper, Daniel Afriyie Barnie met Percious Boah's free-kick to scored for the Black Satellites.

Ghana were lucky to end the first half on level as Hamed Ouattar watched in agony as the crossbar saved his effort.

After recess the Black Satellites showed glimpses of a side determined to win and continued to press for more goals until their effort was rewarded in the 79th minute when Ghana won a free kick 35 yards from the penalty box.

Boah who took the free kick fired the ball into the net to put the Black Satellites into the lead and to take his personal tally in the tournament to two after scoring against Nigeria in the opening game.

Unfortunately the Burkinabes complained to referee Clement Franklin Kpan about the goal because they believed the entire circumference of the ball did not cross the goal line but that appeal was turned down.

The Black Satellites guarded their slime victory until the end of the game to book a place in the next edition of the Africa Cup of Nation slated for Mauritius next year.
