Olympic ski jumping champion, Andreas Wellinger, is once again in the Germany squad for this weekend's season start after 20 months out with injury.
The 25-year-old, who took normal hill gold in 2018, will join Markus Eisenbichler, Karl Geiger, Severin Freund, Martin Hamann, Pius Paschke and Constantin Schmid in Wisla, Poland.
"It was about time that competition finally started again," Wellinger was quoted as saying in a statement by the German Ski Federation on Tuesday.
"After a year and eight months it's really time. So I am extremely pleased that it is finally beginning again."
Wellinger missed the whole of last season due to a torn cruciate knee ligament.
A team competition is on the programme for the ski jumpers on Saturday to start the event. The first individual World Cup of the season will then follow on Sunday.
