Free agent Afriyie Acquah will make his first start of the 2019 African Cup of Nations when Ghana faces Tunisia tonight at the Ismailia Stadium in Egypt.
Acquah's inclusion is part of a tactical switch which will see Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey likely occupy an offensive midfield role behind lone centre-forward Jordan Ayew.
Partey started the previous three group stage games alongside Mubarak Wakaso in midfield but flourished in an advanced role and scored in the 72nd minute against Guinea-Bissau when Acquah who spent last season at FC Empoli in the Italian Serie A came on.

Ghana coach Kwasi Appiah will be hoping that he will be able to repeat his goalscoring feat against the dangerous Tunisians.
In defence, Kassim Nuhu returns to partner the experienced John Boye after serving a one-game suspension following the accumulation of yellow cards.
Skipper Andre Ayew is expected to occupy the left flank with Samuel Owusu playing down the right wing.
