Work is progressing steadily on the Ho Multipurpose Youth Resource Centre being built by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, at Adaklu in the Volta Region.
The Youth Resource Centre, a sporting facility estimated at USD 2.4 Million would accommodate a FIFA standard football pitch, an eight-lane athletic track, a handball, basketball, volleyball, table tennis courts and a gymnasium.
The facility would also have an ICT Centre, a modern restaurant, an entrepreneurship and counseling centres.
Professor Peter Twumasi, Director General, National Sports Authority during a tour of the project said, he was impressed with progress of work and hopeful the project would promote sports in the region.
He said the facility would take the youth from the streets and help them to rediscover themselves.
Prof. Twumasi said renovation works on going at the Essipong and Accra Sports Stadium would be extended to all stadia across the country.
