Mr. Trevor Chang, president of Great Britain's World Amateur Bodybuilding Association (WABBA), would on April 21, visit Ghana to witness a three-day bodybuilding and fitness convention slated for International Students Guest Centre, Teiman, Oyarifa in Accra.
The conference dubbed "face of fitness Gh" is the first of its kind in Ghana, as astute personalities like Adonis Hill from the United States of America (USA) and Dr Bryan Cox of the spinal clinic in Ghana.
They would educate participants on pertinent issues and the new strides made in the spectrum of bodybuilding and fitness. In an interview with GNA Sports, president of WABBA Ghana, Mr. Victor Baiden, he said the importance of the conference was to help bodybuilding to strive in the country.
He said the conference would expose participants to the modern trends in the sports.
“I'm delighted Ghana is hosting these personalities and it's important to emphasise the importance of bodybuilding as a sports industry and how to harness it resources to develop the athletes and the industry.
“We would offer course for beginners in fitness training for instructors to understand a beginners training program. “Mr. Chang would also offer a course on the criteria for judging in bodybuilding, physique and fitness championships.
“It's going to be a great fitness experience and all fitness enthusiasts must do well to register. It's 300GHC registration for all two days of the conference and participants would be treated to a power-lifting, bodybuilding & men's physique & fitness championships,” he added.
