Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan was on target for Al Ahli as they defeated Emirates 4-0 in the UAE Pro league on Saturday afternoon.
Gyan who started his first game since joining the side scored from a penalty in the 4th minute.
The goal is Gyan’s second following his debut goal for the side in the Arabian Gulf Cup game against his former club Al Ain.
Ismael Mamadi and Ahmed Khadil scored the other goals to give the defending champions a perfect start to the new season.
