Taliban militants blew up three state-run girls school in northwest Pakistan on Saturday though there were no casualties in the attacks, officials said.
Militants blew up a girls' primary school at Kalo Banda Shawa in Swabi district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province with explosives laid around the building.
They also blew up another school in Kohat district, officials said.
The Government High School for Boys in Shalobar area of Khyber tribal region was destroyed when it was targeted with an improvised explosive device early Saturday morning,
officials said.
The Taliban have destroyed nearly 500 schools in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and the tribal belt over the past three years.
