The Atwima-Mponua constituency executives of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), have expressed confidence in the District Chief Executive (DCE) of the area, Madam Theresa Adomako-Tawiah.
This followed an emergency meeting they held at Nyinahin at the weekend in the wake of calls for the DCE’s removal by some people in the area.
The constituency executives said the DCE had performed creditably and related well with party members at all levels.
Mr Akwasi Twumasi, the Constituency Chairman, said Madam Adomako-Tawiah, had the full backing of the party.
“Those making ugly noises are not genuine members of the NDC and should be ignored”, he told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) after the meeting, which was also attended by polling station chairmen.
He said the DCE’s hard work and commitment to the development of the communities had won her the admiration of the people.
Mr Twumasi described agitations to get her remove from office as without merit.
He regard with scorn reports about a planned demonstration by those demanding the removal of the DCE.
