The Tepa Magistrate Court, has issued an arrest
warrant for a 38-year old labourer at the Anyinasuso Health Assistants Training School in the Ahafo-Ano North District, who is alleged to have swindled a number of people under the guise of securing admission for them in the school.
Kwame Kuutuome Darry, alias "Atongo", has been posing as an official of the school and succeeded in collecting various amounts of money from unsuspecting applicants.
So far, three people, duped to the tune of GH¢1,100 had made formal report to the police.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Emmanuel Adu-Boahen, the Tepa District Crime Officer, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on Friday that they have mounted a manhunt for him.
Darry, he said, tricked the victims into believing that he has been given some percentage of protocol admission in the school, a claim that the Principal, Madam Victoria Amoah, had profusely denied.
ASP Adu-Boahen invited all those, who had been cheated by the suspect, to report to the police.
They should also help to track him down and bring him to justice, he added.
