Former President John Agyekum Kufuor returned home Saturday night from Geneva, Switzerland, where he addressed the Governing Council of Interpeace, the world-wide peace organization backed by the United Nations.
Former President Kufuor who is the first African Chair of the Interpeace Council, presided over the Partners Forum where he interacted with donors and supporters of the organization.
A statement in Accra signed by Mr Frank Agyekum, spokesperson for the former President, said Ex-President Kufuor briefed the media on his
stewardship of the organization in the past year and gave highlights of activities undertaken by the organization in the 17 countries in which it
operated through Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
It said Former President Kufuor also delivered a lecture on "Leadership for Africa's Tomorrow" at the famous Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, the prestigious pioneering institute in the training of diplomats.
He was away for about a week.
