Ms Faustina Boakyewaa, an aspiring assembly woman for Dumanafo Electoral Area in the Kwabre East District, has vowed to work hard to help address the high youth unemployment in the community.
She said she would do everything to invigorate and promote "Adinkra" weaving and beads-production to give jobs to the young men and women.
The 38-year-old businesswoman, popularly known as "Nana Yaa" was addressing the youth of the town after she presented a set of jerseys and football to the local football team.
Ms Boakyewaa said the gesture was her contribution to the development of the sport.
She said she was confident that the people would give her the opportunity to serve her community by voting massively for her in the December 28 polls.
She promised she would not disappoint them.
She said; "You have tried the men over the years now give the women also the chance to prove themselves."
Two other aspiring women candidates, Madam Abena Foriwaa from Fawoade and Mrs Adelaide Duah Dartey of Sakra-Wonoo, were on hand to give their colleague moral support.
