The former Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, Mrs Joana Appiah-Dwomoh, has counselled members of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), to avoid rushing to the media with their grievances.
Mrs Appiah-Dwomoh said members should make sure that they resort to the party's internal conflict resolution mechanism to get all their grievances addressed.
"We should be careful not to wash our dirty linen in public to help protect the party's
image", she advised.
Mrs Appiah-Dwomoh was addressing the annual general meeting of the Ashanti Regional branch of the NDC Old Guards Association in Kumasi.
The meeting was to take stock of their activities and plan how to strengthen their
contribution to the party's progress.
The former Deputy Minister said the NDC was the only party capable of bringing joy and economic prosperity to the people and called on all Ghanaians to rally behind the Mills Administration.
She said the Government's "Better Ghana Agenda" was on course, citing the distribution of free school uniforms and exercise books to pupils, the fight against drug trafficking and the significant drop in inflation to 9.52 per cent.
Warrant Officer Class One, Kwaku Afoakwa-Duah (Retired), Regional Vice-Chairman of the Association, spoke of plans of the Association to intensify efforts at helping the people to understand the government's policies and programmes to broaden the party's support base.
