Voting at the Atomic Energy School at Dome-Kwabenya Constituency to elect a flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), began smoothly with the arrival of voting materials on time.
Kwabenya District Police Commander, DSP Ameyaw Afriyie told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that there had been absolute comportment as far as police regulations on the voting process was concerned.
He said there ".no recalcitrant or any problems arising from the names in the register or any other challenge".
DSP Afriyie said 330 delegates were expected to cast their ballots but at 0930 hours 156 had voted.
About 618 delegates are expected to vote at
Awutu Senya Constituency to elect a flagbearer in the nationwide polls for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Saturday.
Mr Isaac Danquah, Returning Officer speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), said voting begun smoothly at 0800 hours and within two hours about
139 delegates had voted.
He said the only slight problem encountered arose among the delegates in the queue to vote.
He said some of the delegates attempted to jump the queue but security personnel swiftly acted and put the situation under control.
